Removal of internal wall - cert

I have a non load bearing, internal wall of about 3.3 meters, between my kitchen and living room that I want to have removed. Q1: What paperwork do I need to get done before i do it? Q2: The wall has a light switch that needs to move - does this need a cert?

Removal of an internal wall is a minor alteration and won't require planning. You will need building control to sign off the work. https://www.gov.uk/building-regulations-approval/how-to-apply Hope this helps.
