Repeated Transformer Replacement

Anonymous user 9 March 2024 - 2.57 PM

A couple of weeks ago my bathroom light stopped working so we got a local electrician in to check it out. He had a look, said it was the transformer, replaced it and all was well. Yesterday the light went again, we called the same electrician who replaced the transformer again and said everything else looks fine up there. The light has now gone again this evening. Could this still be a transformer issue or is it more likely something else?

Maybe it wasn’t the transformer the first time, or the second time? Think about getting leds fitted.

Was the transformer a new one he used or a old one from the van? I am forever changing transformers, i would think about changing them to GU10 mains voltage in the future, no transformer issue then.
