Removing a stud wall

Anonymous user 13 May 2018 - 8.28 PM

I’m removing a stud wall myself on the inside of the plasterboard there’s a white kind of textured coating by the looks of things. I know I have artex ceiling that contain white asbestos. What is this likely to be? Jointing compound? I have a photo but can’t upload

Hi,is it on the back side of the plasterboard or in the middle of the plasterboard or on a wall the plasterboard is covering? as if its a stud wall I would doubt it would be jointing compound unless the rest of the room was taped and jointed. and if it looks like a finished textured surface I would have someone look at it as it may be an artex type product. hope this helps but can say much unless I can see it.
