Hi Ashley,

Dig the trench of the land drain down to below the connection of the gully and the underground pipe its connected to, by at least 200mm (from the connection) you must ensure it has a fall (that it’s not level) the trench must be running down toward the gully. Get some Geoxtextile membrane from a builders merchants along with 100mm perforated pipe along with a 100mm Y bend and a 100mm collar or toolstation they will be able to get everything you need and they are cheap! Remove the gully and cut the underground pipe it’s connected to down at least 150mm so you can fit the Y bend to the underground pipe. Then fit the 150mm bit of pipe to the Y bend and fit the collar followed by the gully so it’s at the level it was and secure in place with concrete. Lay the Geotextile membrane in the trench and lay 10mm clean stone followed by the perforated pipe running the full length of the trench and into the Y bend once again it must run down toward the Y bend. Once in lay 20mm clean down over the perforated pipe to the finished floor level.
