Electrical

New oven installation.

Anonymous user 28 February 2024 - 3.36 PM

I will be getting a new oven installation today. The existing wiring and power switch are ancient and may need renewing. Whether they renew or not should i ask for an electrical installation certificate?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, All electrical work requires a certificate. If they are disconnecting an old oven and reconnecting a new oven then this would require a minor works certificate. The certificate required to comply with BS 7671:2008+A3:2015 is: Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (MEIWC) I hope that helps. Regards Paul
