Plumbing Question

Central heating system cleaning

Hi I’m wanting to add system cleaner to my non combo heating system I was gonna drain the sludgey water out first I’ve found a drain on a radiator also I’ve found another on a pipe coming down from loft that goes in to boiler should that be drained too, thank you

yes turn water of to system turn off electrics, then drain system,if you have time refill and flush through, drain again refill adding system cleaner, read the instructions on the bottle some of them can only be left for a specified time in the system, run system for as long as the instructions say then drain and refill with corrosion proof fluid, this will never be as good as a power flush but it can only help to maintain your system.
