Re-use underlay?

Anonymous user 15 March 2024 - 2.37 PM

I have just bought a flat. The carpets are not old - 2 years - but dirty and not my taste. Do I need to replace the underlay when I change the carpet or will it still be ok given it’s age?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You would need to chevk the condition of the underlst sgter lifting the carpets to make sure its not damaged or soiled. As long as its ok you will be fine to reuse the underlay

It's always recommended to replace your underlay, the manufacturers and installer will not warranty the carpet or installation otherwise.

When the carpet is uplifted you will be able to tell straight away if the underlay needs changing but 2 years old it should be in great condition
