Roofing

Rooflight / roof lantern / velux

Hi all, I am looking to get more light into my back room which has a flat roof and is approx 3x3m. I am considering either install 2 velux windows (78cm x 98cm) or a rooflight or roof lantern (150cm x 150cm). Could you advise me which option would involve the least amount of work and cost.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi there, Velux windows for flat roofs are costly, for a cheaper alternative take a look at flat roof domes, you can purchase single, double or triple glazed. Hope this helps. Regards Gavin Oscell Limited

A roof lantern would be the most expensive as your roof would need its joist rectified to suit the lantern and it’s weight, velux would be less work but expensive to buy, cheapest and least work would be a skylight dome, hope this helps you,Andrew enviro build
