Central Heating

Electric Radiator

Anonymous user 3 March 2024 - 3.16 PM

Hello, I have a Prem-I-Air electric heater/radiator in my room. My electricity bills are always really high when I turn it on and I'm concerned that it's very environmentally friendly and inefficient. Does anyone know anything about these heaters? Or know of a more efficient cheaper heater I could get for the wall? Thank you, Aimee

Your current heaters will have their ratings on them somewhere so see what they say and compare them to others on the market, even on eBay or the like. You could search online for replacement ones and see who might stock them locally. Just look to see which ones offer the most heat for the least power. You might even find that a fan heater is able to heat most of the house for less than your storage heaters. They are renowned for not being very brilliant! Though new ones are better these days. It might also be worth checking your electricity bills on uswitch or via the meerkats etc to see if you can lower the bills that way too.
