Plumbing
Moving outside Gas Pipe
Anonymous user 9 March 2024 - 2.53 PM
I have an outside gas pipe which is getting in the way of me building a new porch. The National grid usually deals with this problem but there charges are high. Is this a job that a plumber can undertake or can it only be done by the National Grid?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
is this 'gas pipe' after the meter or before?
i.e outlet side ( gas service pipework to your gas appliances) or inlet side (mains gas pipe supplying your meter)

Hello
If the pipe is after gas meter then any plumber with gas safe licence can do it.
If this is supplying pipe to gas meter then you need to speak with supplier.
