Pinholes have appeared in my new fibreglass roof

Anonymous user 9 March 2024 - 2.53 PM

I had a fibreglass roof placed 2 weeks ago and small pin pricks have appeared on the surface in various areas, should I be worried and how would I have the problem fixed? The roof is a flat roof.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Pin pricks or pin holes are caused when the fibreglass matting is not fully submersed with resin or a metal roller wasn't used, depending on how many holes there are, it needs sanding down then re- resing the deck and then top coat it again. If not recktified this could cause damp over time and once moister get onto the board it will dip and a puddle will form.
