Ducting hose for cooker hood

Anonymous user 15 March 2024 - 2.35 PM

The AEG hood I've just bought does not come with the ducting hose. The instruction shows that it should be 150mm wide. What length should the hose be and what material it should be made of? Flexible or not flexible? I should have mentioned that I need it for RE-CIRCULATION. Apologies I probably need the hose that can be cut to size by the fitter but not sure what material it should be made of to help with better performance.

Hi If you want to use flexible then Semi-Rigid Aluminium Hose is what you need. Length depends on where you are taking it. If solid then plastic with 90 degree solid bends are acceptable. Edited question: Usually recirculated has no hose but in answer to your edited question : The solid is the most effective as there is leas resistance - but you won't notice on 150mm. Just don't use plastic flexible. It breaks down and is affected by heat.
