New house pump installed

Anonymous user 15 March 2024 - 2.35 PM

We have just had a bathroom and en-suite renovated and as our water power wasn't great they installed a pump but every time you run some water or flush the toilet and of course shower it sounds as though somebody has switched a vacuum cleaner on, is there anything can be done about this, it is going to be very awkward having visitors and folk are up and down in the night I think it will keep the whole house awake. Thank you

Hard to answer without looking at you pump installation and hearing the noise, first thougts are the mounting of the pump, has a vibration plate been used, this would reduce running noise, second would be a cover to help insulate the motor noise (need to ensure the pump can safely be enclosed without overheating)
