Isolator switch

What is the wire size for the isolating switch? Will a 2.5mm do or do you need a 6mm wire? I have been told it is a 6mm wire. Any advice will be helpful.

Completely depends on the load, the current capacity of the circuit breaker, the distance the cable needs to run etc. You need to provide more info.
