Best way to remove Peelaway 1 residue

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.30 PM

Hi I'm using peelaway 1 to remove many years of paint from a house I recently bought, so far mixed and patchy success but I'd like to know the easiest and quickest way to remove the residue. I've used a sponge and water but this just seems to smear the residue over the wood, leaving an orangey residue. Any tips on how I can remove this?

Warm soapy water( washing powder) stainles steel scourer from kitchen isle at super market keep wipeing with cleen cloth as you go, small areas at a time.otherwise you could try putting a little peelaway on to reactavate the older peelerway and follow same process. dont forget small areas at a time

Without stating the obvious its always best to wait the recommended time allowing the Peel-away to dry, then a light sand with a fine paper. Prime with a really good wood primer or undercoat. Sometimes its worth giving the undercoat a light sand and then re apply the primer for a light second coat. A decent topcoat will finish things off nicely.
