Central Heating Question

Problems with combi boiler switching off

I have a Glow Worm boiler (approx 10 years old). In September I rented my house out as I relocated and thats when the trouble with the boiler started. It heats up to a certain temperature (about an hour after switching it on) and then switches off ) including the pilot light and it needs to be manually fired up. A plumber called and couldn't find a problem. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thermistor stat may be faulty causing the boiler to overheat and trip the overheat thermostat. I am suprised that the boiler is only 10 yrs old and has a manual pilot though.

difficult one , more info needed ie how do you "manually" switch on ,what do you do to get it to work again is it immeadiate or do you have to wait some time .boilers sometimes have high limit stats which turn off the pilot light, try running he boiler with the boiler thermostat on its lowest setting
