Water fills up in cistern to well above the maximum level shown in cistern.

Anonymous user 28 February 2024 - 3.29 PM

I have a Siamp cistern frame BCM800 installed in my bathroom and have been having endless problems. When the cistern is filling the water rises until you hear the float valve cut off the flow. After about 15 minutes the water level has risen to 75mm above the max level mark on the cistern to the top of the overflow tube and the float valve completely submerged. No matter how much I lower the float valve using the grey height adjustment screw the problem persists. Any ideas as to what I need to do to cure this problem.

you would need to repair or replace the inlet valve< could be as simple as grit is sitting under the inlet waher
