Pitch to flat roof

New extension is flat roof want to change existing hip roof to flat to keep it all the same. The wall plate and therefore ceiling is 30mm higher on the existing roof than the extension wall plate. Best way to ensure roof heights are same and continous if joists are both 250 x 47.

IF you want finished roof hight to be the same use thicker insulation board on the roof / 30 mm thicker. If you want the ceiling heights the same you new ceiling must match that can be achieved by plasterboard and rails. thanks Michael
