Looking for a door that opens in the middle for a standard door frame
Hi,
I have a standard door frame - 198.5 x 76 cm - which opens into a small bedroom - i'd like to have a door that opens in the middle like a french door - to save space - but finding it hard to find a french door for that width.
could i simply get two of these which measure 198.1 x 38.1:

or alternatively get a bi-fold door and remove the inside hinge so would open in the centre?

A bi fold door with centre hinges removed and hinged on both sides of the frame would be far cheaper than a French door but work the same.

Yes, both of those options will work. You could get the 2 doors that measure 198.1 x 38.1cm, but you may find that you will have to take a couple of mm off of them, to allow them to close nicely. So the bi folding door will be the easiest.
