Boiler swap/installation

Anonymous user 28 February 2024 - 3.29 PM

Hi, I currently have a Baxi 105HE combi boiler, I'm looking to replace it over the coming months with a Baxi Ecoblue + 33. It's a straight swap in the same position. I have a few questions though. Should I replace the flue or just use the existing flue since it's a same brand swap? Ideally I would like it installed by a Baxi improved installer who can install nest thermostats. Thanks all.

By law a new flue must be fitted, in accordance with BS5440, boiler manufacturer's instructions and current Gas Safety Regulations. Your chosen installer should recognise this and fit a new flue when installing the new boiler.

You will need to have a new flue fitted with the new boiler. I would also advise you have a filter fitted and a full powerflush. You will also need to make sure you have the new boiler serviced each year so that you get the full warranty. Any gas safe engineer can install your boiler been baxi approved just means you have fitted more than 20 baxi boilers in the last year. hope this helps
