K render for house
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.48 PM
Hi, we are looking to re render the outside of our semi detached house. It has been suggested that k render would be a good product to use - I know they use this on most new builds these days but would people recommend it as a good option for the house? We originally wanted a smooth finish render but it has been suggested that it could crack so k render has been suggested.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

hi,
yes k render dose a lovely finish however it can be very expensive to buy and prep for on you external walls, a sand and cement finish is just as nice finish and much cheaper due to sand and cement being inexpensive to buy you shouldn't have a problem with cracks if prepped right using pva on the external wall with up to 3 coats then applying the mortar mix.
regards
Jack
