Fencing

Fence with a gate

Anonymous user 9 March 2024 - 2.48 PM

How conceivable is it to erect a fence at the end of my garden 5-6 feet high, approx 3 m across with a lockable gate in? There is fence on one side and a hedge on the other?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, To put a fence up at the end of your garden should be quite straight forward, It could be attached from your existing side fence and new posts added along the end of the garden in question. To add a gate in would be very simple too, Aslong as you don't go over 2m in height you usually don't need any kind of planning permission, however it is advisable to speak to your neighbours and let them know your intentions to avoid conflict. Hope this helps :) Regards Gary

You have no no worries at all as long as you do not encroach on to there boundaries and the Fencing is not higher than 6ft6in high. This is the legal height . Hope this helps
