Bathroom Fitting

Replacement wet room flooring

Anonymous user 28 February 2024 - 3.27 PM

So, many thanks to David for his swift response! we have established that we have to remove all the vinyl flooring in our wet room and change the drain as this is only suitable for the old vinyl flooring system and not a new tiled floor Also we need to tank the walls but does this have to be all walls in the room or just the ones around the shower area Any ideas on rough costs I know this is dependent on size Floor area 2.60m x 1.90 Wall to the rear of shower area. 2.60m x 2.40m (there are two small areas to the head and foot of the shower area but this size will suffice for a very rough estimate) Thanks

Hi Jackie you will have to remove all the vinyl flooring and change the drain as this will be only suitable for the vinyl flooring system and not tiled flooring plus you will have to tank all round your Wetroom provided that your fall on your shower area is good only around the shower but better be safe than sorry best to do all kind regards David
