Central Heating Question

Boiler repair or replacement?

I have a Vokera Mynute 35HE in a second home which is about 8 year old. It has been nothing but trouble, every time I visit the property the warning lights are flashing and it won't reset so I have to call an engineer to come and look at it. The latest engineer said with parts the repair will cost in the region of £400 so I am considering cutting my losses and replacing it. My boiler at home is over twenty years old and hasn't skipped a beat since being installed. Have I just been lucky with it? Am I doing the right thing replacing the Volkera?

Hello, I would definately consider replacing the old Vokera Mynute boiler. They are very unreliable and I wouldn't spend £400 on repairing it when you can buy a brand new boiler for a little bit more money.

Definitely get rid! Vokera are a nightmare!
Your older boiler will be completely different internally to an 8 year old boiler. If your looking for a budget boiler for a rental property i would suggest a Viessmann 050
