Kitchen Sink Sealant/Silicone

Anonymous user 9 March 2024 - 2.45 PM

Ive had a kitchen sink installed recently and would like to know what type of silicone/sealant i should use around the edges. Probably an obvious answer but cant seem to figure out what to use in order to seal it. I have an Oak worktop and the sink is ceramic. Would preferably want to use a clear or even white silicone/sealant. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, just use a clear silicone sealant, doesn't have to be any special sort, or if you don't have silicone you can paint on pva adhesive as a sealer..

Seeing as it is in an area with high levels of humidity/water, you are best using a silicon which is mold resistant (they are available in clear, white, black... pick whichever colour you think looks best, best on your description I would personally use a clear silicon), any builders merchant/large diy shop will have these in stock.
