Why doesn't my combi boiler provide instantaneous hot water?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.05 PM

Hello, I have a Worcester Bosch 532i combi boiler (about four years old) in a three-bed, two-bath semi-detached house. Boiler was last serviced in December 2015 by British Gas. When I run the hot tap in the kitchen, it often takes a very long time for the water to run hot. If I run the bathroom hot tap at the same time as the kitchen tap, I often don't get hot water from either. I'd like to get hot water immediately on demand from all taps. I'd also like to get hot water simultaneously in the kitchen and the bathroom, and be able to get hot water in the kitchen whilst running a shower. Is this possible with a Worcester Bosch combi, and if so, is there anything I might need to change in my set up to achieve it? If it isn't possible, what kind of heating system would I need to achieve it? Many thanks!

length of pipe runs, some combi companies say their combi boiler will let you have water at two outlets, but out of their control depends on pressure and volume being available, from your description of your house you have no chance with a combi, what is your water pressure and flow rate in ltrs.allways check both at high usage time ie 7 till 9 am 5till 8pm.your best bet but still somewhat depending on pressure and volume, system boiler with unvented cylinder and properly designed pipework.you may also need to up size incoming water main.
