Internal damp wall

Had a damp proof course done 2 years ago and it has returned again.why has this happened and do I need another damp proof course doing.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Your damp may have returned due to the damp course that you have had done and there may not have been any waterproofer in the mix you may be best to get it re-done but with using a damp proof membrane and then boarding and skimming over hope this is any help. kind regards Tom

most likely because it is not rising damp that is the issue, rising damp is misdiagnosed in over 75% of cases rising to 95% in older property's. but without looking at your issue it is impossible to say what is causing it. good luck alex

35 years in the trade I can tell you that most damp proof courses are not installed properly.if you used a reputable company they would have given you a 20 year guarantee for work above ground or a 10 year for below ground.if you used a builder ill almost guarantee it has been done incorrectly.if you have a guarantee call the company.good luck.
