No hot water going to cylinder

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.39 PM

Please, I need help. After draining the system (gravity) in order to clean one radiator the hot water cylinder is not getting hot water feed. I have drained the system again, i have followed indications to get rid of air lock by unscrewing the to feed on the cylinder but nothing works (some air and water came out, but now there is nothing coming out). Any additional advice? Thank you so much in advance.

Ho before draining your system did you put a bung in your f&e tank , you might have got some dirt and sludge trapped in pipe work from the f&e . Also is the f&e filling correctly . Also try turning hot water on for 10 seconds and open air vent then turn hot water off and repeat same with heating , if you hear it gussing then it's trapped air , last option would be to try and back fill system . Hope this helps abit best wishes Alun
