Fix or repair front door
I have a edwardian house and the front door must look the same.
I need to sort out my door as the glass is thin and its cold to touch and needs some tlc.
can i get a bespoke door made to fit or can the door me taken out and modernised keeping the same look?
What is the recomendation on this?
Will a new door keep the heat in better?
hi there it depends on conditon of door and how windows are fixed in but yes a new door could be taylor made to suit size and design and with draft excluders if needed

yes new bespoke front door would cost about £300 to buy plus glass, but draught proofing by threshold and frame strips would help. with new door you could have double glazing and fitting would be improved. It is a very important part of house and you will spend alot of time using it.
So if door is letting in cold and letting down the look then get a new one made , just make sure you cannot buy ready made.

Bates if you can make and supply a bespoke joinery door for 3 hundred pounds... then, do you want a job working for my company????
I think you would have to mass produce them in an amount of 500 + to sell them at that price. But then they wouldn't be classed as bespoke then, would they!!
