Landscape Gardening Question
Levelling my grass and killing plants
I had my garden re turfed last year and they done a terrible job. The grass is dead bumpy and uneven. Its also dead patchy with the old flowers that they should of dug up up, growing through it. I think they just chucked the new turf on top of the old. Is there a way I can level it without returfing again? Would using a wacker plate on it work? whats the best way of getting rid of the plants? Cheers
Hi, it hard to say without seeing it but here goes,
The old flowers should be dug up, try and remove the bulbs as well.
To try and remove the bumps you can try rolling it using a heavy lawn roller, this will take a fair while to get results though, in the low spots you can apply lawn top dressing to fill in.
Use a good quality weed and feed on the lawn to remove unwanted weeds and meadow flowers
