Landscape Gardening Question

Leveling and returfing garden

We have a lawn that is uneven and contains builder's rubble. What would be the best way to level and prepare for returfing? Are there any machines that we can look at hiring that would help with doing the job?

You can hire a Rotavated that will turn over a soil and expose brick rubble and anything you don't want their rake through and remove it is good to add more topsoil to give a good even finish

depending on the type of soil i,d rottvate the ground loosening the top layers to expose and large stones or brick rubble then removing any debris using a wide rake, rake the whole area this makes it easier to remove large stones etc. then id put a layer of top soil but this will depend on there soil already there, a new layer of top soil will only improve the growth of the new grass. once all is levelled i would sprinkle some grass seeds then commence in laying the new turf. making sure the new lawn gets plenty of water every day for a couple of weeks but this will depend on the time of the year.
