Plumbing Question

Wall leak from shower

I have a leak on my room wall under neath the bathroom. The leak was caused when having a shower as water was falling down the side of the bath between the tiles and bath as the silicone seal was loose. I have resealed it and stopped using the shower however the wet patch is still getting larger?? Can this be caused by residual water still left over from the initial leak?

Normally not. You checked under the bath ? Would be useful to know if there is still water

It depends on how long after the leak was getting bigger after you resealed it. When having a shower you put more pressure on one part of the bath as opposed to laying flat in the bath making less pressure for the seal to break. If you can take your bath panel off and check the trap, overflow and pipe work are not leaking this should help the investigation as to what else / where else the leak is coming from. Hope it cleared
