leak coming in through coping stone on roof

Anonymous user 7 February 2016 - 1.31 PM

Me and my neighbour have had a problem, with rain getting under the coping stone, where the coping stone joins our roofs together. We have had felt laid on top of it and felt laid a metre from bottom of roof up and over on both sides under the coping stone. It's not has bad, but its still coming in. We have been told a bonding gutter would defo fix the problem. Is this the best option to have done. We both have the same roof using tiles. We need know if this is the best idea to fix the problem.

If you both have the same roof tiles why the coping stones covering the joint? Does the party wall finish above the roof line or below the roof line? If the party wall finishes above roof line then no place for a bonding gutter but it will be down to flashings and soakers. Bonding gutter would normally be used when adjoining roof lines are covered in non bondable tiles/slates and then maybe covered with copings.
