Central Heating

Hot water problem

I have come across a problem where the hot water is getting heated far too hot when the central heating is switched on (HW not switched on control panel).

I generally have the water set around 55c and heated by the immersion heater to save on oil. However, when the central heating is on the water seems to be being heated by the boiler also (to an excessive heat as the stat is also set to 55c). The 3 port valve is moving to the correct position (not stuck mid way).

Does anyone have any tips as I am stumped?

If it was ok at one time, and now it's not, it has to be the mid position valve. Don't change just the power head, drain the system and fit a complete valve.
