Moving bathroom door problem
we want to move the bathroom door, where we want the door, the previous owner had this wall added, we have prepared wall by removing the tiles and low and behold this wall has a lintel at the bottom? what now? will the whole bit of wall which was added have to be removed and a new one built with a door opening? advice would be very helpful.

if the wall is a solid load bearing wall you will need to install a pre stressed concrete lintel above the door opening & 2.1 high to support the load above.
you can now cut the door opening with a disc saw or angle grinder & remove the masonry, fit your door & frame.
Be prepared for lots of dust & petrol fumes when using the disc cutter.
A simple task really if you have had any construction experience
