hi i have moved a light i put the 3 wires in a tumenul box and the light comes on but can not switch it of at the switch it stays on all the time

You have wired the permanent live directly to the bulb "L", the live needs to go into the connector called "loop" (should be the middle connector block with three spaces for connections). The switch live should go to the connector connected to the bulb and one into the loop also. Hope this helps. Will

You have connected the wires to the loop by the sound of it which permanently live the light must wired via the switch wire.

You have connected the light to the permanent live instead of the switched live. The permanent live needs to be wired via the switch first.

A common mistake, you need to take the live from the permenent live and wire into the switched live

Could be a wiring error, but did you blow the fuse / trip at any point. you could've welded the switch contacts closed.
