Low profile water based ufh

I'm looking to get ufh on my basement flat in at least one room. it's about 18 sq metres with a low ceiling 2.2 metres and a concrete floor. With that in mind I've been looking at the "low profile" systems like the polypipe overlay system and the lopro 15 one.

I'm a bit dubious about the insulation properties of these systems as they are only about 18mm thick. Do they need anything between then and the tiles/laminate? they say you can tile directly on top but I've read some tilers recommending a layer of ditra or floor flex.

lastly, do these thin profile ufhs work well? As a single heat source? as mentioned room has low ceiling, also has only one small window

low profile will cost you at least £1k for that room (materials only). Just buy 2 double radiators 1m long. Cheaper and will work , no doubt.
