Plumbing Question

How to change a radiator

Can a woman do it without too much difficulty? I would like to to replace my smallish hall radiator which is not working well with another more updated vertical one will it need additional fixtures to the wall as that would be complicated as this wall tends to crumble easily.thnx

Yes you can, I would drain down the system as a precaution as it could save you a lot of mess. Once the system is drained down, until do the valves, remove radiator, fit new one and refill the system. Finally bleed all the rads and all should be fine. Regards, Mario

Hi, of course a woman could do it as much as any bloke, but for what it would cost to purchase the required tools especially if pipes have to be cut/soldered and posssibly never use again. Would it not be worth just paying a plumber £50 to do the job and any problems they got to come back. I do see it a lot where customers attempt to do plumbing and its a costly mistake. If you do decide to try good luck and fairplay if you do it.

Would recommend leaving to a professional if you feel at all unsure as you could come across problems as mentioned by 1st call plumbing solutions and cost yourself more money in the long run all the best
