I have had a free survey that says i need wall ties. there is very slight movement horozontally, only on close inspection. the house is brick 1930s. do i urgently need them replaceing.

was your free survey from a company doing wall tie replacement ?
depending on how you feel and what you want to spend you could get free survey from a cental heating comany ,kitchen company ,roofing company,but they will all tell you only on close inspection all these need replacing

Could you please give more information about the reason why you possibly need new wall ties, For example did the survey say one of the following things; there are not enough ties in the wall
the ties in the wall are not stainless steel so they need replacing
You need to add ties to the wall to make it stronger
You see wall ties are built into walls to stop the internal leaf and external leaf seperating under loading. please give more information so i can be more specific in answering the question.
