Installing cooker hood

I live in a newish flat and id like to install a cooker hood in the kitchen. There is a socket right next to it, is this an expensive job? also should i decorate before or after installation? (wallpaper), thanks, Michelle .

Hi there,

The correct way to fit this cooker hood would be to come off that socket next to it with what is called a fused spur. This is a single box next to the socket with a switch and fuse combined.

You would need a qualified electrician for this. And I recommend decorating after the job is done due to the work involved.
