Plumbing Question

Wash basin has hole

Thanks. I'll give them a go.

How can I plug a small hole in a porcelain white washhand basin. The hole is located on the edge of the basin, so it will not leak but it's visible, the size of a 10 pence.

Has anyone tried the products:

And importantly, will they work?

I am considering replacing the basin but it looks like an expensive accident, so wanted to look for alternatives. Any advice, would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Colin

Hi Colin,

If you want it done properly, try this firm (http://www.magicman.co.uk/) it will probably cost around the same as a new basin but you'll save the expense of fitting etc. I used them on a similar problem at home about 6 years ago (small boy with hammer hit very expensive basin!) and to this day i cannot see where it was repaired.

Hope this helps.
