Double storey rear extension and loft conversion

Hello, we're thinking of extending our 2 bed mid terrace but we don’t know if the plans we have would be approved and what size we can go to. Our idea is for a double storey rear extension plus a loft conversion. Obviously we may not be allowed to do both or either but we’d like to know firstly what can be done and the cost. Thanks in advance for any advice, Glen.

firstly go to your local planning office with your ideas and possibly a rough sktch and they will advise you on whether you would be granted planning permission
hope this helps and best of luck mick

It would be worthwhile having a look at the planning portal for permitted developments (link below) which will give you some guidance to start with.

As AMC mentioned liaising with you local planning office would be a good idea but I'd recommend that course of action only after you get a fair idea of the costs involved as planning office consultation may carry with it some costs. We can look at your project for you as we use 3D design & estimating software which will give you a realistic understanding of the costs involved; which may or may not take you onto the next step. Feel free to get in touch.
