Text for party wall act letter
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.14 PM
I am using http://www.mypropertyguide.co.uk/partywall/notice/complete to create a party wall act letter. For the work, I have written: "To carefully remove part of blockwork on party wall to install padstone / engineering bricks to support structural steel beam for loft conversion." Does this cover it, or is there more I should include. I think that between is there is just one block wall. Will the steel beam need the whole width of a block, or just half? They have talked about a loft conversion of their own, so if it is not half (as standard) it could be tricky. Thanks.

Hi you actually don't need to remove bricks to wall as you can have steel plates made that you bolt into the brick work using m12/14 threaded bar and Resin then measure steel between wall to wall - 20mm. so no need to remove bricks. I always fit my steels this way on all my Loft Conversion works.
