Central Heating

Wrong part diagnosed

My bolier broke down and I was getting locked out. The engineer said it needed a new fuel pump (he said it was stiff and stopping the fan from turning) new pump fitted (70 quid) still not working. He now says it's the capacitor. Can I reclaim for the wrong part purchased? He was paid as it worked initially....I tried it later that day and the fault remained. Waiting on him returning with a capacitor....which I know are not expensive....thanks for any advice.

Sound like just another so called Heating Engineer that does not know what he is doing Guessing at parts to change.
It happens a lot in this industry
Don't pay for parts you don't need
Try to find a fixed price boiler repair then you know how much you are going to pay.
