Ask a tradesman
Hi, I have a query to ask.
To install underfloor heating will I need to do a special type of course or will basic electrical skills be fine?
1 Answer from a MyBuilder Electrician
Connection of the underfloor heating system to the mains should be carried out by a qualified electrician to ensure it complies with current regulations.
However laying of the underfloor heating and associated thermostat can easily be done with basic electrical skills, ensuring you take plenty pictures prior to laying the flooring & follow the manufacturers guidelines, generally they will ask you to record the resistance of the system prior to installation and again after installation and this again should be within manufacturers guidelines, this can be done with a basic multi meter.
