Ferroli Optimax Boiler(HE31S) not responding to Timer (Potterton EP3002)

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.38 PM

We got a Ferroli boiler coupled with Potterton EP3002 timer. Up to last month boiler was entirely controlled using the timer. But suddenly boiler stopped responding to the timer. Good thing is though I can still use the boiler manually by turning it on/off when ever I need the hot water. Since my boiler is under warranty, a serviceman called in, He was certain there was no problem in boiler at all, He reckon problem is on timer. He is suggesting it could be lose connection on some of the wires or timer is broken. Now I want to find out what is the best option to fix this issue. Also If I'm to replace this timer, will EP6002 fit into same panel. Thanks in Advance

If you have had your boiler checked take the advice of the expert and get a new timer fitted.i personally dont touch ferrolis so dont know a lot about them if you go to plumb centre or somwhere like that they will advise as to what replacement timer you would need if they dont do the sameone as you have,Or ring ferroli the number will be on the manual.
