Ceiling light stopped working

I have an original 1930's 3 way light in my lounge, when i bought it about 10 years ago I had it rewired and fitted by an electrician and it has worked fine with no problems until recently a bulb blew which i replaced, then a week or so later another bulb blew which tripped out the light circuit. When i replaced that bulb the light stopped working all together. Today i took down the light and checked it, to me it looks fine, so using the power of elimination i wired a basic rose and that also doesnt work. All the other lights in the flat work fine. Does anyone have any idea why this might be? Am I looking at an expensive job? For the record it's a 3 bed 1030's flat, I've lived here for 12 years and to my knowledge it's never been rewired.

Sounds like a loose live wire at one of the switches or the neutral wire supplying the room with no working light has came loose or broken off due to age of wiring. I would recommend checking all other room lights for broken neutral wies and also checking switches for loose connections or even check switch aswell could be faulty. Hope this helps.
