Central Heating

Dining room cold despite heating being on.

I just bought a five bedroom house and the dining room is cold all the time. The central heating is on most of the time and the radiators are hot. I know it's cold but is this the case.

you need to check to see if the wrong size radiator has been fitted for the size of the room its heating. find out the btu`s heat output for the room size.

I expect your radiator is too small for the room, it may be lack of insulation somewhere

The rooms downstairs will always be colder unless you can contain the heat in the room it will rise upstairs, you also may need to balance your rads, if you have doors in dinning room you can fit in drought excluders..also are your windows double glazed.
