Extending a 1970 timber framed bungalow

Hi there,

Just looking for advice about a 1970 timber frame bungalow. Is it possible to extend upwards as well as outwards on a timber framed property. Looking to buy this property but a bit wary as it was built in 1970 and is too small for us. Really needing advice. Has anyone dealt with this age and type of propey before and knows the risks/possibilities.

Thanks in advance

Yes it is possible but it likely that a structural engineer may need to get involved to make sure the building does not collapse
