Bathroom extractor fan problem
Have got bathroom extractor fan fitted in the ceiling but the ducting goes up vertical through the roof tiles hence water drips through the fan, which
has stopped working. Just wondering what the solution would be to overcome this?

Replace the extractor fan and seal properly the tiles roof and use cup end tonthe ducting

Few things to consider:
• Use Roof Cowl- that prevents water ingress and block wind driven rain (preferably with backdraft shutter)
• Where possible use ducting condensation trap
• Use insulated ducting
• And, last but not least, make sure the fan runs for a while (normally 5-10 minutes or more if required) as it is very important to clear humidity before fan stops running.
